I would like to hear from the community regarding my project at 517 W. Figueroa St .
Lots of photos available here.
Of particular interest is a bikepath easement on this property.
- A long term but unlikely option is to make the easement part of a bikepath connecting the Westside and the Lower Westside, via a dedicated bike bridge over the the Carrillo underpass.
- An option that makes no sense to me is a connection from Figueroa St to Carrillo St; this would be expensive, and would direct bicycle traffic onto one of the most dangerous locations in the City.
- an option I like is to provide a connection to just the Villa Carrillo apartments, allowing its residents safe and easy access to the Boys and Girls club.
